Coronavirus, or COVID19 began in December, in Wuhan, China, and has spread across the globe. Though it is not the dire emergency the mainstream media would have us believe, this IS a serious matter and deserves attention.
The "0" case (the original) was on November 13th, 2019. Previously it has been reported to start on several different dates in December, and even in January.
The links below are all active, DIRECT to the CDC webpages for more information.
The Fox News video has information from CDC, NIH, HHS, Dr. Fauci and the Surgeon General of the United States.
So this page is getting a bit long - as is the COVID farce. I've been updating on my home page, and only putting out imperative information as it can be verified and corroborated.
I have some new things... These are pdf's direct from official sources. In the next few days as I get organized, I'll be putting those links right here in list form.
COVID-19 Guide | AMA (ama-assn.org) PDF
This is the official AMA guide telling physicians how to handle speaking about coronavirus to patients and other interested parties.
I have pretty much left COVID alone. Until now.
We have been going through this now for more than 6 months. It was old in March, it is positively infuriating now. So I think its time I started updating this section for folks that want to keep up and return to life as normal.
That said, I have a graphic for you to study. It will show you *WHY* CDC data can be confusing and hard to interpret for some, and completely spin-able to others. Pay particular attention to the bottom text. It is highly telling -
After the graphic I am reposting the video that is also located on my homepage. To see the shot posted here, simply scroll down the Weekly Stats page at the CDC website. (Link below.)
More information will be coming in the near future.
Notice particularly, in the "Comorbidities" section, that it states that only 6% of total deaths are due to coronavirus only. All of the rest of the recorded deaths had "an average of" 2.6 other contributing causes.
The population of the United States TODAY (September 16, 2020 at 10:15 am) = 330,162,587 (per the United States Debt Clock).
CDC lists 6,537,627 total cases. That is 2% of the population.
Total deaths *involving* COVID-19 = 194,092 people. 3% of the people who *get* COVID - or - .06% of the total population of the country.
OF THOSE, only 6% die of ONLY COVID-19. That would be 11,646 people. The rest had one or more other contributing factors, with an average of 2.6 per case. (Per CDC weekly stats page, and the graphic above.)
This means that - TO DATE, based on the available data, there have been approximately 0.0034% of the population have died strictly from coronavirus this year.
Contrast this with the annual deaths from flu:
